Wolverine's healing factor and Colossus' unusual body made them immune to the spores, which may not have been entirely a good thing as their abominated teammates turned towards them with a ravenous gleam.

"Oh shit," Wolverine muttered.

Cyclops hissed, his two eyes having transformed into a single red orb, and he unleashed a beam of energy at his old rival as Beast and Rogue leaped towards him with a howl.

"No!" Lust was stronger than hunger for some, and Shadowcat wasn't going to let her two biggest crushes end-up as monster food.

She grabbed Colossus and Wolverine, one in each hand, and then phased into the ground, vanishing.

"Wolvie!" Jubilee shrieked.

Then she sniffed the air, trying to get his scent.
