Leaning back against
the wall of the bathroom Gamora clutched her head in confusion, the tentacles
growing from her scalp coiled and tangled around her fingers. “Shut up, you’re
not real.” Looking back up at her reflection it had gone back to mirroring her
actions, back to normal. Getting back on her feet she slowed her breathing,
calming herself out of the panic she was gearing into, when she did her mutated
body began to shift. Green translucent skin began to smooth out, the spines and
spikes than armored her ankles and wrists melded back into her, the row of
spines in her back reverted back into her spinal column, showing smooth green
skin. Her tentacles split, softening and changing colour until they were the
silken brunette locks they once were, her gnarled horns receding back into the
sides of her head and being replaced with her original ears. When she opened
her eyes and looked back at her reflection all that was standing was her true
self, naked and wet from the shower.
Stepping out of the
bathroom and changing into fresh cloths Gamora went back to the living room
where her newborn twins slept, raising an eyebrow of surprise when she found
that they too had changed. Before they appeared like green slugs, shapeless
except for a mouth and a small crop of tentacles. Now they seemed to have taken
on some definition, growing arms and legs, taking on the shape of a pair of sleeping
infants. Still watching them they continued to change, their tentacles slowly
disappeared and their skin became less transparent and glossy. When their
changes had finished they looked like a pair of newborn Zen-Whoberies.
“Girls… They’re girls…
I have two daughters.”
Leaning over the
couch she gently traced a finger over their heads, feeling the soft fluff of
brown hair on their heads and the smooth skins of their cheeks. “I will name
you… Siri… And Numbus.” They seemed so normal. A small art of her wanted that
to be true, but then she remembered the situation that led to them being born,
the man in the bar, and the security in the alley way. She wanted it all to be
a bad memory.
‘Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…’
Lifting herself up
Gamora placed a hand at her stomach, shocked at the sudden growl. She was
starving, had to have been this entire time. It only now that everything had
calmed down did she realise. Looking down at her twin daughters she made her
way to the kitchen, going over the foodstuffs the Guardians been keeping. “Maybe
after I have something to eat I can do something about… About what has happened
to me, yes, that’s it.”

Two hours later sat
next to her twins trying to calm the bulge in her belly, she even had to
unbutton her short after they had gotten tight. At first she simply nibbled om
some vegetables in storage, then nibbling turned to full bites, then to flat
out stuffing her face. She couldn’t stop, everything she could reach fell into
her open mouth and straight down to her growling stomach, she never felt so
hungry in her life, ever! After tossing the empty bowl of fruits over her
shoulder she dove on the packaged meats, biting into them like a starving
carnivore, when she had eaten over 10 pounds of meat she took to the bottles of
juices and dairy and guzzled them down until they were empty and cast away
behind her.
Full and aching
Gamora rubbed her thighs and hips, her shorts had gotten tight even before she
found herself gorging in the refrigerator, wriggling in her seat she heard the
distinct pop of some of the stitch work keeping her shorts from becoming a
scrap of cloth. She even had to pull her top up to give her full stomach some room,
her shirt pulled tight now that her breasts were two sizes larger and tenting
out like a pair of those foot balls Star Lord had told her about. Cradling her
sleeping twins next to her hip and leaning her head against the back of the
couch Gamora found herself getting sleepy, the night’s events finally catching
up to her.
