The energy was drawn to a powerful key being in the multiverse, one with a central link with the very nature of the reality of this universe. Which was how Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-man at the centre of the web of life, was given the power of Jasmine. With this power came an instinctual knowledge of how to use it, even if it was on the subconscious level and not the conscious.
Of course, it could have choosen a better time to hit him then during a battle being televised world wide. On television and the internet, his image was being spread. So people all over as well as the heroes and villains who were in battle with him were soon under the power given to him by Jasmine. Even fully covered in clothing, he was beginning to have an affect with all of the heroes of the Justice Avengers and the Masters of Doom who were fighting in Time Square. It didn't help he kept quiping after he got the power of the Power That Be, his voice now being heard by eventually everyone who was there.
It was not long then that the hero had discovered two strange things. The fact everyone there had stopped fighting, and were beginning to kneel the best they could towards him. The second was he could feel them, their minds and bodies as well as souls, being connected to him. Not only the people there, but all over the world as he could feel it spread. Looking around he saw the cameras of the news crews, like the Daily Planet and Daily Bugle, as well as a number of camera phones.
"Okay, can someone tell me what's happening?" he asked, before getting a reply from Superman.
"We just realized that we love you. We live for you, sir." As Superman added that, Loki added to it.
"We are sorry we defied your will. We will accept any and all punishment you decide on. If you wish, we will end our lives now."
"No. No killing. I'll come up with any rewards or punishments later. So everyone here is... what? My worshippers or something? think I'm a god?" the agreement of thousands, including heroes and villains were filling the air. A feeling of horror entered his mind as he realized he had total control over all of these people. He could also feel more and more power boiling up in him. Including something he felt like he needed to do. Which caused him to release it by glowing before releasing a energy. As he looked he noticed that all injuries in people in Time Square began to heal, before their bodies look pristine.
Peter took a deep breath as he commanded, "Everyone who's not a superhero or supervillain, continue with your life for now. Heroes and villains, follow me back to the Watchtower."
He needed a time and space to figure out what's happening, and the tower would be best.
