Even when bonded to the cloned symbiote, Laura still had a love for Mark. How the two would study together and she's smart enough to realize that Mark only wanted the symbiote for her and now that she knows what it feels like, she made her decision."Mother...may I go see Mark to show him?" Laura said, acting as a seductive girl in an effort to convince her mother that she has joined her side.
June was too ecstatic to question her. "You may go, but come back so we can spend some family time planning out our plans." June said, absolutely corrupted by the symbiote.
Laura took this and exitted the house at a quick pace.
Minutes later, she found herself entering Mark's house.
"Fool...you dare defy the queen..." The symbiote spoke in her mind.
"Listen buddy...my body...my commands...so either you work with me or you don't!" Laura yelled into her mind as she forced the symbiote back into her mind.
Laura stormed up the stairs to Mark's room and opened it. She watched with awe and shock as Mark whipped around slightly scared. As he looked at her, he recognized the figure.
"L-Laura?..."He hesitantly asked. Laura sighed and nodded. "Wh-what does your mom want now?" He asked. Laura could just detect a hint of excitement in his voice and mentally cursed how her mom had bullied Mark.
"It's not that simple, uh here I'll explain." Laura said as she walked closer. Mark began cowering before Laura beckoned him to sit down on the bed with him.
Laura then explained everything, how her mom gifted a symbiote to her, how she enjoyed every part of it, yet how she still loved Mark so she made the decision to betray her mom.
"How do I know you aren't lying and your mom's testing my loyalty?" Mark asked. Laura just smiled.
"This." She said before kissing Mark and feeding him information of all the times they shared together.
At this moment, Mark knew. This wasn't June controlling Laura or influencing her. It was the real thing. Laura broke the kiss and Mark stared in awe before coming back to his senses.
"So what do we do now?" He asked.
Laura sighed. "We need to fight fire with fire. Make more symbiotes and bond them with other women." She explained. Mark nodded. "What info do you have on the symbiote?" She asked. Mark walked over to his laptop and pulled it all up.
"While cloning a symbiote is more than possible, we need a hive mind to control it. One that we can trust." He explained.
Laura sighed. "As long as we find people we can trust and that we know will for sure side with us, I don't think we need a hive mind." She replied. Mark sighed.
"So who do we choose as a host?" He asked.
