She holds the glass, and clicks a button, trying to release the symbiote and bond with it.
However, accidentally, she clicks the wrong one and ends up combusting the symbiote in the glass container, burning the alien organism to crisps.
And, with the Venom Symbiote gone, the dream of the female bonding with symbiote is eradicated.
She sits back down on the couch, and nothing happens. The alien is destroyed, humanity is saved.
