Storm wore nearly as daring of a dress as Pepper.  The statuesque’s woman’s athletic physique was on full display thanks to the plunging neckline and long slits up the sides of the dress.  Her face was also expertly painted in a variety of purple hues, but that still wasn’t what caused everyone’s jaws to practically drop in stunned silence.  It was that she had a full head of hair! Just yesterday the sides of her head had been shaved. Now Ororo’s white locks were parted down the middle and fell just past her ears in a sleek, shiny look.  Couple her new hair with her new makeup and dress, and Ororo looked very different from the woman everyone had met the night before.

“I had, like, the best day ever!” Kitty exclaimed, but she found that no one was paying any attention.  They were still staring at Storm and she rolled her glassy eyes at being ignored. She wished she was at Yuri’s table.  Yuri and Graham wouldn’t ignore her, she thought while twirling a lock of brown hair.

Meanwhile, everyone at the table was showering Ororo with compliments, which the former leader of the X-Men soaked up.  She heard words like “amazing,” gorgeous,” and “beautiful,” along with questions about how it could have been done. Mia even blurted out her question on if her new appearance was due to a wig, but the African beauty laughed her off.  Storm beamed with pride that she was the center of attention, and each word and question was like a cinnamon-scented log thrown on the hungry fire that was her personal self-worth. Her body seemed to radiate with arousal as every woman on the table was amazed by her, and she would giggle and laugh as she did her best to explain what she had experienced earlier at Salon La Bliss.  Well, everyone except for Kitty, who had her fair share of questions when she first had arrived in the ballroom.

“And they can really do all of that in one salon treatment?” Pepper asked.

Storm laughed and batted her extra-long lashes at the redhead.  Ororo drank in Pepper’s own scantily-clad appearance and appreciated the expensive gown that Pepper wore.  She finally shrugged her shoulders and said, “The women at Salon La Bliss are miracle workers. What else can I say?”

“Well I love it, Ororo,” Ruth smiled, “I have to admit I really didn’t like your look last night.  Way too...punk. Or something. Either way, yuck.” Her face scrunched up in a look of disgust.

Ororo looked at Ruth, carefully patting the sides of her head, and then flashed a wide, beaming smile at the pudgy woman squeezed into the pencil skirt, and laughed, “I know!  What was I thinking?”

“Now that you mention it, an appointment to that beauty parlour may be in the cards, so to speak,” Ruth said thoughtfully, tapping her rounded chin.  There was a murmur of agreement among the women at the table.

Kitty couldn’t help herself but agree with the women, but she hated how Storm was hogging all of the attention.  She had been so excited to tell everyone about her new swimsuit that BLISS had given her, Yuri and the other girls, how she had made many new friends including sweet little Yuri and how she had been treated to a private party where her and her fellow party-goers had their fill of Long Hard Ones.  And yet, Storm had gone to this salon and that was all anyone would talk about! Narrowing her eyes, she vowed she would visit Salon La Bliss and then they would really have something to talk about. The thought of improving herself made her pussy tingle and she fought the urge to flip up her brief skirt and plunge her fingers into her wet cunt right then and there.  Her head swam, and she thought hotly to herself ‘BLISS is life!’

Still, all the attention Ororo was getting stung Kitty and she called out in an overly loud voice,“Tell everyone how you got that pretty new dress, Ororo.”  Her own glossy lips curled in a knowing grin.

Ororo looked over at Kitty with a questioning look, and saw her friend looking at her with the glassy, vacant eyes.  Despite the strange look on her friend’s face, her tone had been catty, and a tinge of guilt formed in the pit of Storm’s stomach.  With a far less confident voice than just seconds before, Ororo spoke, “Well, I met...I mean, Kitty and I met this wonderful couple at the champagne toast yesterday.  I happened to run into them after my salon appointment. They took me shopping and insisted that they pay for this dress. They’re so nice.”

“You won a contest to get on this ship and now have people buying dresses for you?” Mia asked, glancing over to Sophie with a look of disbelief on her face.  She then said dismissively, “Lucky you.”

Pepper saw Ororo’s joyous expression fade for a moment, and she finally had enough.  “Oh, please, Mia,” Pepper finally spat, giving the college coed a nasty look that shut her right up.  She then turned to Ororo with a sympathetic look on her face, “There’s nothing wrong with receiving gifts from close friends.  And you look amazing, Ororo!”

The wide, beaming smile returned to Ororo’s glamorously made-up face, and was about to thank the CEO for her kind words when a new voice smoothly cut in.

“Everyone who visits Salon La Bliss looks amazing,” came the throaty purr, and when the mutant turned around, she saw Olivia right behind her. The caramel-skinned beauty was scant inches away, and without hesitating, the medical student gently caressed the African mutant’s bare shoulders before winking. “Isn’t that right, Ororo?”
