"So Jimmy managed to get some pictures of Lex Luthor a couple of weeks back at the opening of the new LexCorp facility. We were just looking through for stock photo's for some story about the possible long term effects it could have for the area and I noticed this" Perry said pointing at the photo.
"What?" Lois asked, wondering if this might not be the gossip story Perry had presented it as.
"A wedding band!" Perry pointed "Cat didn't even know he was dating someone! And none of the other papers have anything, even the gossip magazines have nothing"
"So?" Lois asked "Why would anyone care about that?"
"Lane, do you live under a rock? Luthor is the most eligible bachelor in the city, he is rich, handsome and our female readers can't get enough of the guy. No matter what pages he is on! If we find out who got him to commit overnight and who he is keeping secret it will be huge for us!" Perry tried, increasingly frustrated at her stubbornness.
"Just find out who it is and write me a damn article!" Perry shouted finally snapping "Or the next time I get an exclusive you want it will go to Kent or even Cat"
"Yes chief" Lois said as she got up to leave, knowing that the battle was lost.
Resigned to writing the dumb article, she left Perry's office, trying to think of how she would figure out who Luthor's new wife was, maybe she could even get a scoop on some real news while she was at it.
