When Lois came to she could hardly see anything, the room was dark and it was definitely not Luthor’s office. As her eyes began to adjust she realised the gravity of her situation.
She was in what looked like a dentist’s chair, restrained of course. The room she found herself in was like an operating theater, that or some kind of lab. Her mind began to race at the thought of what could happen to her in here.
Before her mind got too far, Lois snapped back to reality asthe door opened, flooding the room with light. Standing in the doorway was the man himself, Lex Luthor.
“Miss Lane, I know we have had our run-in’s in the past but I am forced to ask why you insist on sticking your nose in my affairs. What possible story could you possibly be chasing that you would stoop to breaking and entering for?” Lex asked, with a tone of authority.
“Well, that’s funny you see...” Lois shifted embarrassed,knowing when she uttered her next sentence her pride would take a huge hit.
“Your ring” she said looking directly at it “It’s a wedding band, isn’t it? The Paper wanted to know who it was that made you settle down so quickly and why it was such a secret.”
“Ah, well my dear Lois that is very observant of you. I have indeed made a commitment to marriage.” Lex offered, his tone softened but without losing any of it’s authority. “Fortunately I am almost ready to let the world know. So I think I will give you the inside scoop, for old time’s sake”he chuckled.
