Arthur Curry aka Aquaman was glad to be home after another lengthy mission with the Justice League. He had been gone too long and was looking forward to resuming his duties as ruler of Atlantis. As he neared his throne room though he noticed something was off, there was an increase of guards. Curiously they looked to be all female. Upon greeting the guards it sounded as if they were snickering leading him in. When he came upon his throne though Aqua man had the shock of his life. There before him sat his Queen, Mera, or someone who looked awfully like her. Gone was the full body green suit. Now reduced to something that barebly covered her body. While he felt that to be out of place for her it was not the biggest shock. Her long and wild red hair which he loved to play with when they were together was reduced to something very short. It had been styled so that it stood up with each stand tied around her new crown. "Ah my king. So happy to see you have returned". "Mera, what's going on?" "Oh you mean my hair. Don't you just love it. I got tired with the old do and thought it was time for a change. Along with a few other things as you can see". "This isn't like you Mera. What happend?" "What's happened is I'm thinking about myself for once and what I want. Which as it turns out is not you. But I liked the crown so much I've decided to take over. That doesn't mean I won't be alone. Isn't that right lover".
