Depravity sauntered over to her Laptop, her feet making twin 'click' sounds with every step. Sliding into her office chair gracefully, she went back to the list of names. First she'd go through all those men and women that she found nice and worthy and look for those who would relish being bonded to one of her babies. There was no doubt that more symbiotes would come in time.
The first person that came to her mind was of course the woman she had married as Peter: Mary-Jane.
While things had changed, Phoebe still loved MJ and wanted to share her newly found bliss with her wife. She opened MJ's profile and the face of Depravity softened. MJ was truly beautiful and not just in terms like bust, legs and the like. Just watching the picture of her made Phoebe remember the sparkle in MJ's emerald eyes, the mischievous grin that could turn into loving smile swiftly and the warmth of her mere presence.
That state of contentment didn't last.
MJ's profile said that the she was very much straight and not interested in other women. Well, there was some lingering curiosity, but nothing tangible. She had turned down other women multiple times and had never even entertained the thought to try. Oh she could see when another woman was attractive, but that was about it. That, however, wasn't the worst bit of information. MJ was absolutely disgusted by symbiotes. Not just their violent behavior, but their very nature. To her they were parasites and her disgust had reached the realm of irrationality. There was no curiosity about them, only the fear that one of them would attack Peter again and changing him for good this time.
And part of that had already happened. Her darling had changed her for good, though it wasn't an attack. Telling MJ that would probably be the death of their relationship at best. At worst, she would set the Avengers on Depravity and forcefully separate them. Phoebe didn't want to stop being Depravity for any reason. Not even for MJ.
