Maria smiled as the life-model decoy neared completion. She then took out a notebook and started making some calculations.

Maria knew the risk of her being discovered was still higher than she wanted, and she would not be able to keep superheroines in them indefinitely. Jennifer Walters was arguably smarter than Sue Storm, and they both had enough friends that even a decoy or her impersonation would eventually arouse suspicions. So she had to make the most of the time she could have the superheroines in her virtual reality world.
She adjusted the settings in the virtual worlds to the maximum time diffraction possible for Sue Storm. One day in the real-world would now be equal to about a year in the virtual world. Maria estimated that she could keep them hidden for about a week, maybe two. That would be about 7 to 14 years, plenty of time for the virtual world to entice them to act a particular way, and then keep them acting that way long enough for it to become ingrained into their personality.
She checked in on Sue, who she wanted to become a slutty stripper more into thugs than superheroes. Maria smiled, as things were progressing nicely. Sue was starting to fall in love with some sleazebag, was coming to rely on him, and would soon need him to make her decisions for her. Years of everything going wrong when she didn't act like a tramp should be effective with her.
But what to do about She-Hulk? She was already suspicious of Maria, and if she just went too far just trying to get revenge on She-Hulk in the virtual world, then when she escaped she would go after Maria and a long time in jail awaits. Maria was too smart to think so short-term. She needed to do to She-Hulk what she was doing to Sue Storm.
She-Hulk had a prominent alter ego as a lawyer, and Maria was trying to figure out how to use that against her. Should she try to make her attracted to the criminal element, often helping them in their quests? That way even if she remembered Maria when she was released, she would be inclined to help her. Or should she work to make Jennifer Walters, She-Hulk's alter ego, into some brain-dead bimbo who would never trust her own judgment? That way when She-Hulk emerged from virtual reality she wouldn't trust her previous judgment and could be easily manipulated by Maria. Or was there some other personality that would work better?
Maria had had to act fast when she first got She-Hulk into the virtual world, and she knew how effective fear was to influencing somebody. So Maria put She-Hulk into the scariest environment possible to She-Hulk, so that she could then program a way for She-Hulk to be released from her fear that would lead her into the personality Maria wanted for her.
Maria made sure the time diffractor for She-Hulk was minimized, so that it was effectively real-time. Once she had finished programming in the personality she wanted for She-Hulk, she could then speed up the time, but for now she had to think about what would work best for She-Hulk.
