Thea growled as she entered the Arrow Cave, glad that ARGUS
had let them use one of their super-fast jets to get to Central City. The trip
would have taken hours by car but by plane had only been an hour and for Thea
Queen it had been about 59 minutes too long.
She would never understand what Oliver had been thinking
when Helena, aka Huntress, had shown up at their doorstep pleading that she was
reformed and wanted to help them. Despite Lyla and Diggle claiming that Helena
had paid her debt to society by going on a few missions for ARGUS and had shown
that she had changed Thea really didn’t trust the mobster daughter who had
turned into a cold blooded killer. Oliver had argued that he had changed and
forced aside his killing ways and that even she struggled with the desire to
kill but still Thea didn’t like Helena.
It didn’t help that her and Laurel couldn’t stop snarking at
each other.
“What’s the big deal?” Helena asked, annoyed, as she flopped
down in a chair. “It’s not like the little light show did anything to us.
Probably just a power surge.”
“We found Star Labs destroyed, our friends are missing, and
you kicked at a glowing rock,” Laurel snapped. “How do you know that thing didn’t
vaporize Barry and…” Laurel’s eyes went wide. “Oh… oh, Oliver, I didn’t-“
Oliver held up his hand. “It’s fine. I get it. The… the same
thoughts have been going through my head. But I doubt that Felicity and Barry
or anyone else is dead.”
“How do you know?” Thea asked.
“Just a feeling.” Oliver pulled off his jacket and shirt and
walked over to the salmon ladder. “The important thing is we don’t give up
hope. Considering how many of us have died and come back we shouldn’t believe
for a second the others are hurt.”
“Right,” Helena said, watched Oliver as he rolled his
shoulders before grabbed the bar that hung from the ladder. “Is it hot in here?”
“Is it?” Oliver asked.
“Feels like it to me,” Laurel said, licking her lips as she
watched Oliver begin to move up the ladder.
“I could use some fresh air,” Thea said… while making no
move to actually leave. Instead she removed her own jacket, not noticing that
her nipples were beginning to poke against her shirt.
“Why don’t you three go get something to eat while I look
over Felicity’s computer, see if I can find all her notes,” Oliver finished his
execise and leapt down, grabbing his shirt and tugging it on. He gave the
ladies an odd look as they all groaned in disappointment. “What?”
Laurel shook her head, wondering why, for a second there,
she had been ready to rip off Oliver’s clothes and lick him like he was a
tootsie roll pop. “Right, food, got it. Come on Thea.”
“And me,” Helena reminded her.
“Oh, how could I forget,” Laurel muttered.
~BIG~BIG~BIG~
“Alright, breakfast is here,” Barry said, trying to keep his
tone light as he stopped at their campsite. He set the two cars down only to
blink. The girls were just sitting there, completely naked, but it wasn’t their
nudity that was strange. It was the smiles they wore… clever, cocky little
grins that said ‘Oh big boy, you are in for a lucky day’. “You three feeling
alright?”
“Of course,” Caitlin said sweetly, motioning for him to come
over. “Why don’t you sit down, take a load off and let us get our breakfast?”
