“In one universe, call it universe A, humanity began developing strange and unusual abilities—powers beyond those of ordinary men—from many, many varied sources. Only a rare few of the reasons were of alien origin.
“Conversely, in another universe, let’s call it universe B, the many, many aliens all had strange and unusual abilities (albeit one per species) and humanity had…”adaptability”. Oh, they could acquire (illegal) alien technology, occasionally learn alien
mana-manipulation techniques, but mostly they only ever gained strange and unusual abilities simply from having an alien parent, grand-parent, or such.
“This happened infrequently, but still more often than should be physically possible; leading to such cases as: a half-human, half lava-based alien hybrid.
“Halfway between these universes lies amalgamations, such as, let’s say “AB-Positive”, where humanity was developing strange and unusual abilities in great number, but all “origin stories” were from having an alien heritage.
“Residents of universes A and B would find universe AB-Positive both somewhat familiar, and strikingly different.
“This was a universe where teenager Anthony Stark took his father’s Plumber-issue armour out of storage, and gathered together some of his Earth’s mightiest hybrids--individuals with powers somewhat familiar to residents of universe A, but with appearance
and origins derived closer to universe B.
