Making sure to deactivate the autosave function - Peter didn't want to constantly change, while he fooled around with the machine - Peter idly scrolled through the endless list of categories and sub-categories. One stood out to him: Spider-Man Rogue Gallery. More interested in who made the cut to be included, than in truly merging with one of them, he highlighted it. The Master PC seemed to easily grasp who was one of Spider-Man's 'regulars' and who was just some dude Peter had fought at some point in his long career. They were all there, from guys like Shocker and Doc Octopus to more recent additions like Morlun. But while they were certainly dangerous, Peter wasn't all that interested in how a merged life would look with any of them.

That is, with the exception of one: Venom.

Venom was interesting to him. While Peter wouldn't call any of the symbiote-bonded men who wore that name his nemesis, that place belonged to Norman Osborn, Venom had always been something like a foil. What Peter could have been, if not for one thing or another. And since 'Venom' had hardly been a constant being, what separated Peter from him did change regularly. It had helped give Peter perspective over the years. And that made him curious. What would he be like, if he and Venom were combined?

Peter selected Venom, which in turn listed a couple of names. He could combine himself with any of the Venom symbiote's hosts, but most of them were pale and uninteresting to Peter. While each of them did something to make him take a good look at himself, it was Eddie, the original Venom, that got Peter curious. He selected him and decided to look at a preview, with Peter as base.

Said preview was very interesting. Eddie Parker was a bit taller and stronger built, with blonde hair and brown eyes. As a kid he needed more attention than Peter did and wasn't quite as smart. He was by no means stupid, just not a genius like Peter was. Unlike Peter he wasn't bullied in school, though he was also not popular. More like a weird loner. Eddie Parker would sometimes make a lot of effort to impress people, and unlike Brock he actually had the talent to do so. When Eddie was bitten by the Spider, he gladly used his new talents to make money and to embarrass people he didn't like. Uncle Ben still died and caused Eddie to become Spider-Man. There were no photos sold to the Daily Bugle, instead Eddie used his new talents to follow his passion and become a journalist. As a teenager this was more about writing the school magazine before he landed a decent job at the Daily Globe. That really made Peter think about trying the merger. A better job was always nice. Eddie would also marry quite early, earlier than Peter did. He married his High-School sweetheart Ann Weying, just as Eddie Brock had done. Ann wasn't quite a supermodel like MJ was, but she was supportive of both of Eddie's jobs and Eddie in turn was supportive of her career. This really started to look like a great life. Of course, this Spider-Man never rejected the symbiote, but bonded with it. Since Eddie Parker was more in tune with his own wants and needs, he didn't change nearly as much as Peter had done. There was no Venom to torment him in this life. It looked to good to be true.

And as Peter continued reading, he realized that it was.

Ann was at first apprehensive about the symbiote, but quickly warmed up to the situation. The couple especially enjoyed sex using the symbiote. With it they indulge in quite a number of depraved acts and Peter got erect just reading about how Eddie would use the symbiote to fuck Ann in several holes at once, feeling all of it. Soon, the only thing Ann desired as much as her husband was a symbiote of her own. And once the Venom symbiote had spawned, she got her wish. Only it didn't make them happy. A symbiote's offspring have a natural loathing for their parents and thus 'Depravity' was born. This Spider-Man's greatest foe was his own wife.

Of course, no life with Peter in it would be naturally great. There had to be some sort of great catastrophe! Well, he could edit that life, but what was the point? Peter could just as easily edit his own life, too!
