Felicia had decided to meet for lunch, the Parkers. Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson-Parker. What she didn't want to advertise was the fact she was plotting to steal Peter from Mary Plain, but in a way where no one would know and would be as smooth as possible. To the point she would have Pete as her loving husband and MJ would still be their friend. Maybe more, if Felicia's gemstones proved effective.
Peter came in with a pale blue t-shirt and light colour denim jeans, Mary Jane in a good looking yellow sweater and similar jeans. Brown boots on her feet while Pete wore blue running shoes. Felicia was wearing a white blouse and a tight pencil black skirt with black heels with a shine finish. The thief automatically noticed the modest diamond ring on Mary Jane's left finger with matching gold band.
"So how's married life for my favourite couple?" asked the platinum blonde as the two of them sat across from her and close together in the booth in the coffee shop.
"Working as hard as we can to get by. Money's always tight for a freelance photographer and a struggling model/actress. No matter how much money we have, we're happy." commented Mary Jane as she used her outgoing personality, contracting Peter who could be outgoing or could be the reverse and introverted.
"Given one of you works for Jonah, it's a miracle you have any money. The man would stop and pick up a penny in a trashcan if only to increase his fortune." she joked about her former lover's boss' cheap nature. So this was how the small talk began as they waited to begin to eat.
Peter discribed the latest adventures 'Spider-man' had gone on. The man in the white t-shirt and black jeans moved further from his wife as he explained the street level fights, contrasting them with cosmic adventures which also occurred to the spider-based hero. Whether those adventures were mystical or scientific in nature. He made no mention of the robbery of Stark's transport to the Fantastic Four.
Next it was Mary Jane's turn to explain the struggles of being a pretty face in the media business. Many men thinking that the casting couch gave them the right to any women they met, "Not realizing a married woman like myself wouldn't be interested in cheat.I'm a one woman man."
As Mary Jane continued, Felicia snuggled next to Peter who was sitting beside her in his black business suit with white dress shirt and black tie. Peter began to speak up, "Parker Industries have been expanding with the input of the scientists we hired and the business people helping me make our stockholders rich. Still, never going to get use to these monkey suits. I half expect my fly to be down as I talk, given I have none of the finish of Tony Stark. Aunt May seems to be happy using the Ben Parker Charity Fund to help people around the world. With great power, or great sums of money, must also come great responsibility."
The redheaded model smiled and asked, "So when are the two of you going to renew your vows, asked the single girl?"
The thief had smiled as her small modifications, occurring over the talk and meal, added up to big changes. Using the Reality and Time Infinity Gems to scan and then modify her reality. From seeing potential futures which had Otto Octivius stealing Peter's body and then building a company... to altering the past so she was mature enough to accept Peter and Spider-man which had the affect of preventing Peter from dating MJ... all to make the world she wanted. The Mind Gem allowed her to manage and plan with multiple tracks at the same time made it easier. She did have the huge catty joy of watching her rivals engagement and wedding rings shrink and fade away as her own more expensive bands appeared on her hand.
Savouring her victory for the moment, Felicia answered, "Hopefully within the next year... but I'm suggesting a new stag and hen party before we reseal the deal. Let our crazy out. Not sure if it will be two or one parties, but you're definately invited either way M.J.!"
Diabolical ideas for a wild night of crazy partying, letting it all go, were in her mind. A little work with the Mind Gem and Peter was more open minded. As would everyone else she invited. Peter also added, "With my kitty cat here, every night is a honeymoon. Usually after a night of crime-fighting, or in certain cases, crime-committing by Cat and crime-stopping by me. Right. Felicia?"
"Gotten over most of the stealing thing with my new wealth from my investments and my hubby's generosity. Now I just use the thrills and rush from helping out my handsome man to fulfill the urges I use to have stealing." she told them, as with the help of the gems, she made the discovery of why she stole. Something she kept hidden from herself or at least ignored. It boiled down to wanting nice things, the thrill of the robbery and chase, and letting out her wildside. Things which she could substitute with the gems or being a 'hero'.
Well... all but her desire for sex at the moment. She was still going to fix that. Which is why the well-dressed woman was trying to keep her former rival as a friend. Potentially with benefits now that her threatening hold on the mutual man they loved was gone.
