It didn’t take long
for the two She-Hulks to get a reaction. Almost as soon as the vibrations in
the web ended, they arrived. Almost like a swarm, less than a dozen
multi-limbed Hulk monsters swung or jumped from roof top to roof top towards
the pair, surrounding them like wolves having cornered a deer. Looking around
them, Jen and Carol were face to face with Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Spider
Gwen, Black Widow and Silk. Gamma radiation may have had different effects on
each of the arachnid powered heroes but they all shared the same theme. Each of
them hung or perched from organic webbing released from any of their six clawed
hands. Multiple unblinking eyes stared back, smiling with elongated fangs that
wriggled at the sides of their mouths, drippling what was hopefully drool. Even
Venom was in their horde, though the radiation had a slightly different effect
on him. Flash Thompson hung upside down, his mouth sporting a toothy grin like
usual but now his eyes blurred between being 2 to 6 eyes at a given time, extra
arms made from the symbiote rubbed together with snipping claws underneath his
original ones, underdeveloped like they were an afterthought. The spider emblem
on his chest and back had shrunk and skittered like little spiders all over the
surface of his body, making him look like a living Rorschach test! Whatever had
happened to the host was a mystery, but what was for certain was the symbiote
had gone mad.
“Blue Shulk back, and
bring new Spiders for swarm, Spider like!”
Peering over her
shoulder to look back at Carol, Jen found the giant blue woman’s hand over her
face in embarrassment. Snapping back between Spider Man, Carol, her kids and
back again, Jen could only chuckle. Looking back at the green woman, Miss
Marvel sighed. “You know how you said I’d have sex with just about anything? I
guess you’re wearing that title now.”
Turning to face the
green furred arachnid that stared back with flexing mandibles, Jen shrugged her
shoulders. “Hey Spider-Man, wanna help a giant She-Hulk out?” Smirking back at
the Spider hanging in front of her, Jen was still amazed at how big she had
become, even at Spider-man’s current size he still only came to about as high
as her waist.
“What big green lady
want?” Hissed the white and pink spider creature nearby. Next to her the black
furred Black Widow nodded. “Yeah, you too big for nest.”
“Not too big for me…”
hissed Venom, wiping the drool from his teeth.
“There’s big trouble
heading our way, what I want is for all of you to gather all the Hulks trying
escape the city and bring them back here.” Seeing the arachnids look to each
other and whisper, Jen continued. “If not, SHIELD is going to blow up this city
and I doubt any of you can survive that.”
“SPIDER stronger than
SHIELD!” Roared the lead arachnid, the rest of the spiders growling in
agreement. “Stronger than green lady!” Moving to attack, Jen was ready for them
and clapped her hands together with enough force to create a sonic boom. The
shock stunned the gamma powered spiders and made the children behind her cry
out of being startled. Looking over to Venom, Jen grimaced when she saw the
symbiote loose its hold briefly to show Flash Thompson gasp and flail like he
was drowning in a pool of oil before being swallowed up again. Realising that
even together this green giantess outclassed them all, the Spider and his horde
held back.
“So… You want help? What
you give us if we do?”
Reaching at her wide
hip, Jen unclasped one of the thermoses at her belt and tossed it towards the
Spider, who instantly caught it and sniffed at the plastic object in his claws.
“What this?”
Stepping forward,
Carol piped in. “Its coffee, it tastes good, you’ll like it.”
Biting the thermos
hard enough for the hot beverage inside to leak out, both the giant She-Hulks
stood and waited while the green furred spider lapped away at the drink and
tossed it to one of the others. “Mmmm… French Roast…”
