If something seemed too good to be true, in Batman's POV, it never was. This had to be some sort of trick or trap. Neither seemed like Joker or Darkseid's style, at least not yet. Mad Hatter might attempt something this unsubtle but he'd been nowhere near the conflict.

Of course, even in the highly unlikely possibility it wasn't some sort of mind game, who were "those who would dare try to take your throne" mentioned on the monolith? He had to be on his guard.

Dr. Kennyx smiled. Batman was predictably paranoid. He checked a box on his holographic noteboard and increased the probability of random encounters by 15%.

"Another individual should assist in helping him to accept the "reality" of this scenario."

Rather than head directly into the tower full of unknowns, Batman chose to survey the massive garden around it while simultaneously looking at the high tower's outside. It seemed to be made of a sheer white marble. He saw no obvious ledges and only a handful of windows at the very top. Climbing it would be extremely difficult but not impossible.

The garden seemed perfectly innocuous. Nothing but fruit trees in bloom and pleasant smelling flowers. The Sun was warm and bright and the wind blew gently. It was all so idyllic it made him deeply nervous.

He had completed a near full 360 around the circular tower when he heard a sultry voice speaking happily. He moved stealthily behind an apple tree and listened to it.

"Here you are my darlings! Drink up and soon you'll bud and then you'll have babies - just like me when the King arrives!"

Poison Ivy's voice. Unmistakable. But it was oddly devoid of malice and she sounded utterly sincere. Of course, she was always sweet to her plants - it was her attitude towards humans that was the problem.

Batarang in hand, he slid out from behind the tree and moved cautiously toward the sound of Poison Ivy's voice. What he saw next surprised even him!
