Emma had the weirdest dreams last night, but she couldn’t remember any of them.  She walked down to the kitchen with her daughters and went straight to tea pot.

“Oh my god,” Irma “Mindee” Cuckoo started.

“When did the honey badger and vampella,” Celeste Cuckoo continued.

“… Start hanging out with little miss Preppy?” Phoebe finished.

Emma looked over at what shocked her daughters.  In Jean Grey was fully dressed in her school uniform, Xavier Tartan Skirt, white blouse, blazer, knee boots, and tartan tie.  While she was perfectly dressed what was surprising was that Laura “Talon” Kinney and Jubilation “Jubilee” Lee were perfectly dressed and following Jean silently.  Emma was about to listen to their minds to try and find out what going on when she heard Kitty Pryde’s mind.

[I can’t wait to see Emma’s face when this hits her!]

Emma turned and watched Kitty lead a man in a cheap suit into the kitchen.

“Emma Frost?” the man walked up to her, and flashed a police badge, “I need you to come to the station with me.”

“Am I under arrest?” Emma asked.

“No, this is about the open case with your daughters,” he said coldly.

Emma tried to peak into his mind but found only the noise of hundreds of cases and the check list for dealing with families of victims inside the detective’s head.

“Lead the way,” Emma said calmly.

The detective led her to unmarked police car and drove her to the police station.  All the while Emma tried to find out what was going on without prying throw his thoughts.  Her curiosity was tempered by the knowledge that she had to set a good example for her girls and that Professor Xavier would be monitoring her too.  The only thoughts that she heard that related to her were [Why did I get this detail?] and [How is she going to take this?].

Once at the station, the cop led her to an integration room, the first this he pulled out was a photo of all five of the Stepford Cuckoos. The next one was the picture the three surviving Cuckoos, and the last two were the ones of Sophie and Esme that had been given to the police when they filed the missing persons reports following their deaths.

“Can you identify these people?” the cop asked.

“My daughters,” Emma said, “Celeste, Irma, Phoebe, Sophie and Esme.  This is Celeste, Irma, Phoebe.  These are Sophie and Esme.”

“And these?” the cop pulled out two more pictures.

“This is Sophie and that’s Esme,” Emma said.

“You want to know where those were taken?” the cop asked.

“It doesn’t matter where you got them,” Emma said sadly, “They are dead.”

“So, you are psychic?” the cop asked.

“Yes.  I am.”

“I think you need to have your crystal ball tuned up,” the cop said.

“I was injured and taken advantage of while I was in a coma,” Emma sahred the needed details, “I could feel them from their conception for all their lives, even now I can feel my surviving daughters.  Sophie and Esme are dead.”

“Bring them in,” the cop said into the intercom.

In walked Esme and Sophie and a female uniformed cop.

Emma fell out of her chair.

“Esme, Sophie!” Emma started gasping in shock.

“So we are dead?” Esme spat at her mother, “You are dead to us!”

The glob of spat hit Emma on her face and it hurt more then anything she had ever felt before in her life.

“Get them out of here!” the cop shouted.
