With the power plant on meltdown and bleeding radiation everywhere the technicians and guards ran for their life, sirens and alarms warned of the toxic energy leaking out as the cause of the damage laughed to itself high above aiming its weapon at the plant below. Suddenly everything went cold, almost freezing as all forms of energy began being pulled towards the cosmic rod in Annihilus's clawed hand. Geiger counters that were clicking wildly seconds ago dropped silent as all forms of heat, radiation and electrical energy was drained from the site. Lights died out and even the fires caused by the small explosions went out instantly as it all went to fuel the cosmic rod's power.
"Zzzz... Will have to do..."
Seeing the Quinn jet fly over head Annihilus chittered to himself in aggitation, he was still too busy to deal with the local mammals and their super powered 'heroes', his hive yet to be completed. Watching the flyer land nearby the insectoid's eyes narrowed as he spotted the two heroines in the group. "Those two are STRONG! I can sense it...ZZZzzzzz."
"Give it up glow bug we've got you pinned."Quipped Hawkeye aiming one of his trick arrows right at the monster as the rest of the team circled around Annihilus ready to fight. "Come quietly or there's going to be a lot of noise to deal with."
Hissing in anger Annihilus lashed out with his cosmic rod and blinded the heroes with intense light. Captain America and Hawkeye acted instinctually and attacked, firing arrows and an indestructible shield at the insect man as others covered their aching eyes in pain. The fiend moved like lightning, back-handing Hawkeye so hard an audible snap was heard as he tumbled to the ground limp and prone. Just as Cap's shield rebounded back and he snapped ready to fight, he was shocked to find the thing standing over Quicksilver before jabbing its weapon into Pietro's back. "Zzzz... My rod reverses my aging, makes me immortal... Zzzz... Let's see how you mammals age well."
Quicksilver was aging decades a second, his hair falling out as he grew old and frail before passing out now appearing almost 90 years old before Annihilus stopped draining him of his life energy. "You humans only live THAT long? Zzzz... How disappointing."
"LETS SEE YOU DISAPPOINTED IN THIS!" Yelled Hercules, his fists raised over his head as he body slammed into Annihilus from behind, only to strike a field of energy preventing him from harming the insectoid villain. "YOU!... You dare strike Annihilus from behind?! Youwill pay with your life, every year of it!" Jabbing his rod into the demi-god's chest Hercules gasped as his strength was leeched from him."GET OFF HIM YOU MONSTER!"
If Annihilus could smile he would be smirking at the red caped woman trying to strike him with bolts of red lightning, her attacks doing nothing as they fizzled and dispersed from his cosmic shield. Just as Hercules slumped to his knees as an old man the Insectoid turned his attention to Tigra and Scarlet Witch, drool escaping his clicking maw as Tigra fiercely slashed and snarled at the bug man. Leeching life from Captain America he aimed his cosmic rod at the two women and commanded them to stop, freezing them in placeas the rest of their team laid weak and withered on the ground.
"Let us go you Freak!." Growled Tigra struggling against the force holding her, Scarlet Witch looked back at her brother in worry before glaring back at Annihilus. "What did you do to them?!"
"Drained them... Zzzzz... Lots of energy now, they'll recuperate but not fast enough for what I have planned for YOU two."
