When all this frantic activity looking for Valeria took place, many heroic teams and authorities assembled to respond to the call for help. Yet among them, the failure of one to answer the call should have tipped the world off to something a little more sinister afoot.

With the mansion under complete lockdown, the X-Men, mutants and allies in the school found themselves trapped and split apart while Danger Room equipment went haywire.

"I'm not sure... how long I can hold them back." Polaris strained with all her magnetic might to keep the writhing tentacles at bay. Their claws snapped with threat.

"Lorna, look out!" Jean Grey shouted and concentrated in the knick of time to knock a series of darts off course with her mind. The darts harmlessly lodged into the wall and squirted out their gunk.

"A little help here?" Polaris asked. A bead of sweat ran down the side of her face, and her lips tensed back as she clenched her teeth.

"Sorry, can't. I need to find who's responsible for this." Jean placed her fingers at her crown and concentrated again. She searched through every room, passing some of the minds of teammates resisting the hijacking of their system and others who... weren't that lucky. Finally, she homed in on a strange mind, but as soon as she went to dive inside it and learn its secrets, her whole body seized up.

"AGH!" she cried out and fell to her knees. Her whole body felt like it was on fire. She could hear Lorna calling out her name. Or was that her name? J... Jean Grey? She wickedly grinned at the ridiculous name, and when the psychic attack faded, she stood up and looked at the pathetic green-haired woman struggling to hold on.

"Are you having fun there?" Jean taunted.

"Jean?"

"Tsk tsk tsk. That name is far too pathetic for the Goblin Queen. You should know better than that, Pestilence."

"Wha?"

In one stroke, the Goblin Queen gave the metal claws the extra oomph they needed to overpower Lorna. They latched onto the woman's arms and legs, spread them into a perfect X, then invaded every hole with tentacles. They wriggled in her ears, up her nostrils, and other places, before a pair of claws latched onto her breasts and slid needles deep inside.

Lorna writhed at first, but then the drugs kicked on and she went limp. Thick clumps of hair grew out of her armpits, and the claws pulling away from her boobs and crotch revealed green-tinged nipples and pussy lips that oozed slime. When the invasions left her nose and mouth, she coughed out puffs of green smoke while a lighter foul mist fumed from her armpits and wavy long hair.

The tentacles dropped her, and Lorna looked at herself in disgust and despair. Her entire body looked like a leaking biohazard, and worst of all, she felt strangely docile when the Goblin Queen strode up and took a big whiff of the air with her crooked nose.

"That's what I call success," the Goblin Queen said, looking down at her new servant. "Let's do a test. What's your name?"

"Pestilence," Lorna said with shame.

"Who's your master?"

"Y-you are, Goblin Queen."

She smirked with delight. "Good. You'll have the chance to show the world your true self soon enough, but first, we have work to do."
