The shots rang out. The newest wendigo was dead. All attention turned to a crack in the wall above the Wendigo Queen. There was the Door Gunner.
"Hay bitch," he shouted, "Get ready for heart burn to hell!"
She punched at the wall to get at him. As she did something made her recoil.
"Hay Time warp guys!" The gunner called, "Get them out of here!"
"What about you?" Captain Shouted.
"I found my original primary weapon!"
The heroes gathered just out of reach as the Wendigo all focused on the Gunner.
"Is that what I think it is on his back?" Black Widow so the massive thing.
"That's a Soviet Nuclear Warhead!" Hawkeye shouted.
"NUKES?!" was the collected gasp.
"Doctor Strange can radiation affect meta-physics as well as regular physics?" Reed asked.
"It would disturb the flow of energies!" Strange said just before they disappeared.
"NO!" Captain America shouted.
"Lets go!" Cable said as he pulled the Super Soldier into his transit sphere.
"You don't win a war by dying for your country," the gunner quoted Patton, "You win it by making the other poor dumb son of a bitch die for theirs!"
His thumb struck the trigger.

"US and Canadian official confirm that the nuclear powered submarine Xang-shu suffered a catastrophic failure of it's reactor core after it ran aground on an island off the coast of Nova Scotia yesterday. The inhabitants of the island were killed in the
blast, and the residents of the outlying islands have been evacuated," The TV reporter read the teleprompter, "The Chinese government denies the loss of their submarine. Intelligence sources claim that the Submarine had gone rogue some months ago and that
it's destruction closes the file on it's fate."
Paul Cartier turned off the TV and looked at Furry.
"So that is the end of it?" Paul asked.
"For now," Furry said.
"You used the submarine to cover up the truth?"
"The crew mutinied and defected to the US two months ago," Fury shrugged, "I had learned what we needed already."
"I read the report you gave me," Paul took a last drink from his mug, "There is one lingering question, who was it that finished it."
"That is between god and the devil now."
