The White Queen met her X-Women outside on the school courtyard in her full outfit. Gone were the expensive pumps and business suits she wore as headmistress of the Massachusetts Academy. In their place, a white outfit with a giant gold x going across her torso. The crisp cool fall air didn't bother now that she cover up her midriff. Jean had always said that as much as she loved watching her in battle, it just wasn't practical and pretty well left an open target for someone to hit at. She had to admit Jean was right and she did feel warm there for once. Now all that felt cool was her hairless head. She had first shaved her long blonde locks when she felt the psychic wave brought on by the death of a young mutant by the name of Charles Xavier. A powerful telepath unlike any other, he had been tormented by his cruel stepbrother Cain. One day Cain took things too far and Charles paid the ultimate price. As he lay dying he sent out a call for help to anyone who could hear - physically and telepathically. Both Jean and Emma felt his pain, his experiences and emotions flooding through their minds.
