While listening to Circe, Diana couldn't prevent herself from noticing a Venus girdle on the bench of her cell, as well as key nearby and, to her surprise, a letter from her mother. Diana immediately picked the letter and started reading it:

"My Dear Daughter,
I hope you will find this letter in time! This is horrible, Circe is invading our island and our sisters are joining her ranks! Some dark magic must be behind it!
Alas, I feel it is too late for me. I have been held captive by my own guards in this prison and I can already feel Circe coming for me to make me undergo the same changes as our sisters...

Therefore, I am leaving you my Venus Girdle. This should protect you from any mind altering effects. Let's hope Circe doesn't notice it! You are our only hope!

Wonder Woman's heart sank at the thought of her mother being held as a vulgar captive in her own palace.

She placed the letter in her bossom and looked at the girdle and the key.
