As Wonder Woman was about to throw her lasso at Circe, the new Queen of Themyscira noticing that Wonder Woman was exactly where she wanted her to be, cast a fire ball in the air as bright as the sun enough to temporarily blind Wonder Woman.
Acting swiftly, Circe pressed a hidden button on her throne that opened a trap under Wonder Woman's feet.
"You are right, I am no Queen... I am a Goddess!" Circe exclaimed triumphantly watching Diana falling in the dark hole.
A loud noise could be heard from the throne room indicating that Wonder Woman hit rock bottom.
The Amazon was collecting herself and realized she was in some kind of prison that was located underneath the palace of her mother.
"See, Wonder Woman" Circe's voice could be heard saying through speakers " I could have tamed you whenever I wanted, just like your Amazon sisters... But that wouldn't have been entertaining, now would it? Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! No, I want to play a little game with
you to see if you really are worthy being called Wonder Woman."
Diana was looking around her to analyze the situation.
"The door of your prison is opened Wonder Woman" Circe continued "But you might want to just stay there for the rest of your life!"
"And why would I want that!" Wonder Woman replied defiantly.
"Because if you don't, a fate worse than that could happen to you! Ha! Ha! Ha! See, the game I want to play is pretty simple, somewhere in the palace is hidden a special Orb that is responsible for the current situation on your island..." Circe explained.
"What does it do? Speak!" Wonder Woman asked.
"It allows its holder to deprive anyone from their free will and turn them into mindless slaves like all your sisters and mother!"
"So, all I have to do is to find it and destroy it? Pretty easy!" Wonder Woman said with confidence.
"Not so much, sweetie. I'm sure you wouldn't think I haven't placed traps everywhere in your castle. By the time you reach the orb, you are likely to have become my submissive slave!" Circe said gloating.
"How so?"
"Simply because the power Orb combined with my powers also allowed me to conceive various traps that would enslave you or have... very interesting effects on you! Ha! Ha! Ha!"
"Grrrr Circe! I'll never be your slave! Just you wait 'til I get my hands on this orb and on your little neck!"
