"So, do you want to join us in picking out dresses, Ororo?" Kitten asked, as she was shooed back to the couch by Joanna and two shop girls who had been modeling for her, "Oooooh!  I bet we can find something for you too!  It'd be so great to have you there too!"  She finished excitedly as she settled her perfect backside back on the cushions.  The bubbly bride-to-be never noticed Storm's retreat to the front door, her mind already caught up in all the attention the other girls were giving her.  All the while, Ororo moved steadily to the door, unwilling to look completely away from the unnerving group, particularly as Phoebe and her assistant kept their questioning eyes firmly on her.

Just as Storm turned away from the perverse fashion show and toward the front entrance, she was shocked by the sudden appearance of a man wearing the uniform of a private security firm.  He wore black pants, a black jacket with the word 'SECURITY' etched over the right breast and a black hat with a stylized S at the center, seemingly for Stepford. What truly amazed Storm, though, was the way he had entered the store.  He had phased in, using the same mutant power that Kitty Pryde possessed. The African mutant looked down in his gloved hands and saw he had what looked like a stun gun in one hand and a syringe in the other.  Without warning, two similarly dressed security men joined him in the store using the same phasing technique.  Storm wondered quickly how it was possible for these men to possess the same mutant ability that Kitty was born with.  It was too much of a coincidence, and that worried her.  But that would have to wait.  The two other men had electrically-charged stun sticks in both hands and were staring at her menacingly.

"By the goddess, what else can happen today?" Storm muttered under her breath, before summoning a gust of wind out of nowhere and sending it right at the first man.  He went crashing through the front door and onto the sunny Stepford Main Street sidewalk like a rag doll.

As a chorus of loud, feminine screams came from the back of the store, the two remaining security enforcers lunged toward the weather manipulator without hesitation.  Storm deftly dodged the first and then using both his momentum and her control of the winds, she guided him into the path of his colleague.  The second security guard managed to avoid shocking his comrade, pushing past the stumbling mass to try and get a clear swipe at his target.  He was just about ready to strike only for his jaw to be met by Ororo's sweeping roundhouse kick.

"Ororo!  What on Earth are you doing?" Hearing Kitten's panicked, voice over the high-pitched screams from behind her, Storm stopped her offense for just long enough.  Turning her troubled glare to the young woman, Ororo wanted so desperately to see her lost friend emerge from behind the brunette's current frightened, soulless gaze.  A crushing blow from her blindside sent the Weather Witch tumbling to the floor.  Turning her aching head to look back up at her attacker, she saw that the remaining, still-conscious security guard was by far the biggest of the trio and would be the hardest to take down.  His eyes focused on her, never leaving the powerful mutant woman as he lowered himself to a crouch to pick up one of the dropped electric stun sticks.  Bracing his powerful legs, he leapt for her once again, Storm rolling to her side and onto her feet to dodge the sparking weapon.  The large brute gave her no respite.  Instantly, he pivoted and thrust at her again and again, using all of his considerable skill to land one solid hit and stun Ororo. However, the trained female X-Man expertly blocked or avoided the electric rod's every strike.

Knowing that she probably had little time before reinforcements would arrive, Storm went back on the offensive. Striking out, she managed three quick punches to the man's face, before then dodging another counter from his weapon.  Summoning the aid of the winds as she did earlier, Ororo then pushed the brute back and took a running leap, planting both feet into his broad chest, sending him crashing into some of the storefront mannequins.  However, the man would not be intimidated by her skill and quickly picked himself up, throwing off the ruined dummies piled on top of him.

"Is that all you got?" the man asked, turning the power on the electrically-charged stun stick to its highest setting.

"So you like to play with electricity?" Storm asked, raising an eyebrow, as her eyes took on an ominous white glow, "Well then..."  The guard charged for the regal mutant, while Storm calmly raised her hands out in front of her. She unleashed bolts of lightning from her fingertips, directing the wattage directly into the thug's chest.  The large man's frame instantly broke into uncontrollable spasms as the current coursed through him, before he dropped to the floor in an unconscious heap.

Storm made her way toward the door, seeing the unconscious first Stepford security officer still lying prone on the outside sidewalk.  There was a man in a suit tending to him.  As she reached the exit, she spared one last look at Kitty and her friends. Kitten was being held in Joanna's arms, trembling softly.  She had a frightened look on her altered, heavily made-up face.  Joanna was soothing her and petting her long, softly curled mane of brunette hair that fell to the small of her back.  Despite what had to be an odd sensation of their enormous boobs pressing firmly against each other, the looks on their faces were more scared than anything else.  Kitty was actually frightened of her, Storm sadly realized.

Just as she turned to leave, she saw quick movement out of the corner of her eye.  A gloved hand closed over Storm's mouth and she tried to struggle against her new attacker.  She thought fora second that this man must have phased through the broken pane of glass but it didn't last long.  Ororo felt something skinny and sharp pierce her neck, followed by a shot of stabbing pain.  She lost all feeling in her body, before everything in Storm's world went black.
