Bruce Wayne was no stranger to transformations. In his lifetime he'd been a woman, bodyswapped, and made to rely on a personality he'd programmed in case of a massive psychological attack. He had recovered from those experiences and added them to his plans and countermeasures in his war against crime. Diana had helped him learn to fight as a woman, had even shown him a few Amazonian martial arts. Zatanna had given him magical protection against such spells. But nothing either woman had ever aided him with had prepared him for this new change.

The part of himself truest to the mission, to being Batman and denying happiness, had presented every logical reason why he should have refused the change. His relationship with Gotham's police force, his efficacy in calming down frightened innocents, his public persona as a playboy so necessary to dissuading others from his true self. All of these and more he offered as proof that he couldn't become a Sergal.

But then the tiny spark that was Bruce Wayne and wanted happiness became an inferno. For too long had he denied himself any pleasure, any hope of a life of loved ones, no matter how much Alfred, Dick, Tim, Jason, Cassandra, Kate, or Stephanie meant to him, they weren't enough to fully heal the hole his parents' death had carved into him. Diana and Zatanna both held him after he allowed some of his pent up wants to escape in the form of angry tears.

"I never expected to be happy. I don't want to break my promise to them," he had murmured into the furry bodies that had cocooned him.

"You won't," Diana replied. "They would both want you to be happy Bruce. I'm not doing this to hurt you, I'm giving you a choice. I'll still love you regardless of what you choose, still consider you the most stubborn, arrogant, secretive, genius, brilliant, caring mortal I know. So please...let me, let Zatanna, let the women who love you and who you love, as much as you deny it, attempt to heal you."

"I don't deserve-" But Diana's mouth was on his, her breath not dog or wolf-like, as he had been expecting given her new form, but just as it had been in those desperate and not so desperate moments they had kissed in the past.

"You do, you deserve to love and be loved, to be happy. You'll still be you, Bruce, the process doesn't change who you are, it just enhances." Taking a deep breath, Bruce replied.

"Change me then, Diana."

Bruce felt the power in every movement as he adjusted slightly to Zatanna nuzzling into his side. He shot a knowing glance towards Circe, glaring a bit for effect, and was pleased to see a shudder pass through the massively fat sow's body. He was nearly seven foot nine now, almost a full foot shorter than Diana but still taller and larger than either Zatanna or Vixen. His ears were identical to Diana's, same with the bird and wolfesque attributes. When pressed, Diana had merely licked his face and mentioned wanting the man she loved most to be most like her in looks. Zatanna was ecstatic as she darted around him, touching his left pectoral with one hand and fondling Diana's left breast with her other hand. His mind was sharper than ever and he had already solved twelve of his hardest unsolved cases in the ten minutes it took to pack for the assault on Circe. He had brought up the Odysseus myth of the herb the ancient hero had used, Diana approving with a bark and lick, as Bruce planned out the attack on Circe.

Surprise and fear, easily attained once he saw Circe's clear mental breakdown thanks to Zatanna's magic.

Now, with Zatanna by his side and Mari eying his new body, Bruce calmed his calculating mind as he ran through the scenarios of Hippolyta's reaction both to Circe's capture and her daughter's new form. That was in the future, now he should just focus on the moment.

Wrapping an arm around Zatanna, he hugged her close and gently brushed his tail against Diana's hip. She turned her eyes towards him at that and gave him a warm smile before returning her attention to piloting towards Themisycara.
