Parts of Duncan’s lab had been moved to Castle Grey Skull in the middle of the night.  The king, to his credit had ordered Duncan to do whatever to save as many of Etheria’s people as possible.  In the door way to the now half empty lab, Orko looked around and thought about the powerful magics that were being used to save people…  He wished he could somehow be a better magician so he could help out too!

*

In Castle Greyskull, Duncan aka the Man-At-Arms was finishing the preparations for the mass transports of the selected and isolated safe havens of Etherians to places across of the besieged world to places around Eternia and some other worlds identified as suitable.

“Ariel provided us with as many seeing stones as she could…” Duncan said, “I have identified as many places for refugees as possible.  Many of them will be here on Eternia.”

“Let us start!” the Sorceress called.

*

The Commander picked up the phone.

“Yes Director Fury.  We are not sure if it is Thanos or Ultimus.  I know you’re A-Team is busy trying to keep Thanos at bay before he arrives on Earth.  I am well aware this could be an attempt to make an end run and open a second front here on Earth.  It could also be the start of the Kree attacks my counterparts have warned us about.  As Thanos gets closer with the gauntlet, it is causing mayhem with our sensor networks.  I have ordered the response forces to be activated.  Sir, if I might, that counter part of yours… the black one… he looks Samuel Jackson.  Well I guess it is better than being a David Hasselholf clone…”

*

“Since The Bat decided to leave Gotham to go play with Darksider and the other Justice Pajamas, I decided to have a little party!  Since I don’t have any of those fancy Boomer tubes, I am going to have to rely on good old fashion fireworks for my boom!  And just to make sure that everyone has fun at my party, Plenty of Joker gas to make sure all of Gotham has a smile on their face!  Hay, you… With the camera, you are supposed to follow me… oh Right. You’re dead! Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha!”

“I am telling you Father,” the Robin said turning to the Batman, “If we were allowed to kill him… then everything would be so much better.”

“If he ever died,” the Blonde Batgirl in the front seat said, “He would find a way to infect someone else with his evil…”

*

“Here are the report from the sensors,” the security agent handed the tablet over to the acting CEO.

“Thank you,” Pepper sighed, “Any sign of Thanos’ armada making it into orbit?”

“Not Yet,” the agent said, “I must say, offering to let the staff shelter here with their family is very nice of you.”

“Have we brought in the supplies?” Pepper asked.

“All twenty-five tons per person…” the agent smiled.

“I wish.”

*

“What in the hell is going on?” the student said as he tried to call the school again.

“Think this might have something to do with the Justice League fighting those aliens out in New Mexico?” the Security Guard asked.

“I dep’t know,” the student shook his head, “These don’t match the readings Professor Choi showed us in class about the Boom Tube worm hole technology.”

*

“Adam,” The sorceress called, “Place the Sword of Power in the center.”

“Alright,” Man-At-Arms called, “Lets power this up.”

He started powering up cobbled together mix of magic and technology.

*

“Lord Skeletor!” Mer-Man rushed into the throne room, “You have to see this!”

*

“Well it certainly is pretty,” Adora conceded looking at the barriers, “Let’s just hope they hold up and keep us safe on our way to Eternia!”

*

“What the hell is that?” Pepper shouted looking out the Blast Proof windows.

*

“Err,” Joker asked the corpse of the maid next to him, “Are you seeing this too? Or am I crazy?  Well Even more crazy than normal?”

*

“I haven’t seen shit like this since doing acid in the… seventy-two!” the Security guard shouted.

*

“Energy readings are spiking,” the Lieutenant shouted to the Commander.

*

“Boss are you seeing this?” Batgirl asked.

“Of course we see it Brown!” Damian snapped.

*

“Alright the first wave is going throw now!” Man-at-Arms shouted.

Behind the castle of Greyskull the peak of Skydance Mountain with Crystal Castle took shape outside.

*

“Father?  Is that a castle floating on Stalagmites?” Damian asked from the back seat of the batmobile.

*

“What is that?” Skeletor asked, “And what is that?”

“It looks like a city…” Mer-Man gurgled, “And that looks like a massive tower in the distance!”

“Gather my forces Evil-Lyn!” Skeletor shouted, “A new city for us to conquer and enslave await!”

*

Pepper looked out the window.  Infront of her was a massive conical spire of a mountain with a giant snake coiled around it.

“Friday,” Pepper said, “Warm up house party Protocols.”

*

The Student and the Security guard looked out from the roof, the city center was still around them… but the outter edges of the city and the subburbs beyond were goon.  Instead there was nothing but blasted land and a strange spiral mountain with what looked like snake from the Norse myths coiled around it.

“This is so much worse than tripping balls in a firefight!”

*

Spiderman pulled out the cell phone that he had been given by the Shield people.

“Ahh,” Peter said, “How mad would Fury be if we lost Avengers Tower?  And do you think he would be cool with a gold fantasy castle?”

*

Joker looked out into blackened valley around Wayne Tower…  He pressed against the window when he heard the last click.

“Ut Oh.”
