Lex was in his office, his eyes scanning the screen as it displayed multiple tests on Kryptonite and various wavelengths of Radiation. All the tests so far showed nothing that would allow him to defeat Superman. The Man of Steel could be killed with Green
K but this was not what Lex wanted, he didn't want Superman dieing a Martyr for his cause. Red K could turn Superman's inhibitions off which may work for him but Superman was still to much in control for those forms of Kryptonite to be enough.
Just as he was growing frustrated with the results of his various tests his speaker squawked to life with the voice of his secretary. "Mister Luthor, your 3 o'clock is here" She chimed. Luthor closed out the read outs and turned to face forward "Send him in"
was all he said.
The man entering the office was tall but lanky, roughly 6'2" but didn't appear as if he weighted more then 200 lbs he has jet black hair and black eyes too boot. Luthor found himself struggling to look at the new man's eyes they where not human, not even close
but he found his eyes always strayed from them as if his brain was demanding not to be reminded.
"Greetings Mr. Luthor" He said his tone casual but strangely cold. Before Lex could muster any reply the man held his hand as if to stop him. "I know you wish to see Superman gone, defeated at your feet." He informed the man, but this was hardly news. "And
unlike any others before me, I have a way to do this"
"Is that so" said Luthor, interested but annoyed at being cut off. "And how is that? And how much will it cost?" he knew the score of most people when they showed up. They wanted money or power, something he had in spades.
"Nothing, but once I help you, you will give me access to all of your research findings." The man said still calmly as he held out a small black box. "Just expose the Man of Steel to this, and you will begin to see how you have defeated him." He set the box
on the table.
"I didn't agree yet" Luthor pointed out "Oh but you will, you see this is only a first dose, to make it complete you will need to have more and only I can produce them." the stranger said before turning "Your secretary has my number, call me when your ready."
and with that he left.
Luthor being curious opened the container the moment the man had left. Floating in the box was a small black orb, but unlike most black orbs it cast off black light but it almost appeared deep indigo to the naked eye. "What in the world is this?"
